‘I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed lunch with my Mum at The New Moon today. Having had a few recent disasters with so called quality pub food of a lunchtime it was a refreshing experience to be served such lovely food with great service too. 
Great food , great atmosphere. You can ask for nothing more really.
Top marks to all of you. 
Though I don't live in Kendal, my Mum does, I can assure you I will be making a point of returning for an evening meal very soon. Your menu looks great.’

My partner and I were directed here by the Barman in Lounge Lizard, Kendal. We had one of the nicest meals there, that we have eaten in ages. The staff were friendly and informative, the decor was tastefully contemporary, the food was absolutely wonderful, and the prices very reasonable. A highly recommended venue for a perfectly prepared and presented meal. Well worth a return visit, if only we didn't live in the Midlands!

Booked at the New Moon for my Husbands 44th Birthday and had a fabulous time.  Food was fantastic, service was first class, they even provided a birthday cake with candles.  All in all a very special evening, will certainly return and tell everyone we know about it!!

Without a doubt one of the best restaurants I have eaten in. Starters are good but go for the main course of local lamb or duck, both of which are superb. Pudding are not the best here but it is definitely a 10 out of 10 restaurant and well worth a visit.

I agree, one of the best restaurants I have ever been too - can't wait to drive the 150 miles to go again. Good atmosphere, absolutely fab food - and my pudding was superb! A must, but book early!
